How to install MakeMKV 1.10.5 on Ubuntu 17.04

  MakeMKV 1.10.5  is tool converts video clips from DVD / Blu-ray disc into a set of MKV files, preserving most information, so you may watch Blu-ray and DVD discs with your favorite player on your favorite OS or on your favorite device.

 

The software features:

  • Improved handling for DVD discs with mastering errors
  • Better track AV sync management, especially for badly mastered discs

  • Bug fixes:
    • Program could crash randomly at the end of conversion
    • Opening HD-DVD disc with AC3/E-AC3 audio caused program to hang
    • Support for some BDAV discs was accidentally broken in 1.10.3
    • Fixed various build issues for OSS code

Installation instructions: 

 
     Open terminal and insert command line...

$ sudo apt-get install build-essential pkg-config libc6-dev libssl-dev libexpat1-dev libavcodec-dev libgl1-mesa-dev libqt4-dev

$ wget http://www.makemkv.com/download/makemkv-bin-1.10.5.tar.gz

$ wget http://www.makemkv.com/download/makemkv-oss-1.10.5.tar.gz

$ tar -xvf makemkv-bin-1.10.5.tar.gz

$ tar -xvf makemkv-oss-1.10.5.tar.gz

$ cd makemkv-oss-1.10.5/

$ ./configure

$ make

$ sudo make install

$ cd ..

$ cd makemkv-bin-1.10.5/

$ make

$ sudo make install
